Half Birthdays

My life totally changed 6 months ago.. on the 15th day of June, 2009. There were little things going on that I thought were pretty major (our 11 year old dogs running away, putting my photography business on the back burner, contemplating moving cities, preparing for Aaron to work out of town for 2 months, being on doctored ordered "house arrest," and the list actually does go on but I'll stop...) THEN, the day came that the babies were born. I was so ready for them to be out of my belly.. sooooo ready. And in these last six months that they've been alive, I've become a better person... I think. (Maybe ask Aaron about that first.) But I really have had my eyes opened and I'm trying to relax, remember and enjoy each day and each child, practice patience, totally rely on and appreciate Aaron for all he does for our family. Wow has it been hard, really really hard. Super hard. But I needed this. Aaron needed this. The older kids needed this. We still need it and our family needs it. We will continue to learn how to be good people, but for now, I just wanted to say Happy 6 months to Maggie and Jones. We love you guys a lot and can't imagine our family without ya!
p.s. I'm hoping not to make others jealous by posting the following pictures.. can I help it if my children were blessed with gorgeous locks? I mean the hair is flowing. ;)

Those big beautiful eyes make up for the lack of locks :) I haven't commented lately, but I check your blog all the time! No matter if it's business or family photos, your work is always so beautiful.

p.s. Let me know when you want it to be your turn! You would be a perfect model. Maybe it's time for you to be on the other side of the camera :) Send me an email and we'll make it happen!

Twins rock your world thats for sure. I love my boy girl twins! They will turn five in April and it has been quite the journey. They are best friends right now and play happily for hours. But, I remember when all I could do was them. It's like going on a two year mission and then extending for a few months. It will get easier.

Fun series of pics! I'm sure I won't be the only one to wonder what lens situation did you use for these?

Haley, surviving the first SIX months of having twin baby babes is KIND OF a BIG DEAL. Combined with everything else happening in your life--you are so turbo! Jones and Maggie don't even need any hair--they are perfectly gorgeous and adorable with their bald little heads.

Haley,
As always--awesome pictures! Also, for what it's worth, the first six months after my twins were born were just plain hard. Then, something magical happened right around the six month mark. Things suddenly got so much easier and we could finally say that we loved having twins. From that point on, things have been so much easier than that first six months. So, if it hasn't gotten easiet yet, hopefully it will soon!

Bald is beautiful! You have the most lovely children, Haley. In every way imaginable. Carter and I were just talking about Will and Millie the other day. I hope you come back to visit. We miss you lots.

Please give hugs around at your house from both of us.

Love these pictures! Please don't talk to me about hair. OBVIOUSLY your children eventually get hair. Jordan however, now 27 months, can only get a 3" mullet going in the back. I'm hoping by 5 we can manage a ponytail. ;)

How's the George treating you??

Hair is overrated. Just ask Phil.

And why would you want flowing locks when you can do such a fantastic carpet swim?

You are definetly past the worst and most difficult phase. I can't believe you had to move during it. You really are amazing! They are both so cute (even with out hair)and look so much alike. Happy Half Birthday Maggie and Jones!!
