Believe it or not, James is a senior (I know, right?) and I couldn't leave poor James hangin' for a whole weekend while I went out of town with no sneak peak!

Sneak Peak: For Me

Once a year I get up the guts to take my own kid's pictures.. it usually lasts about 15 minutes and we are all mad at each other when it's over. This time it wasn't so bad.. It was Easter morning so we had plenty of candy to use as bribes. I've only gone through a handful of the pics we took and I LOVE them so far.. my kids are the best and I get great laughs everyday at the things they come up with.

Piano Recital Numero Uno

We had our very first piano recital experience this past weekend and it was quite the experience... After Cole was finished, he said we needed to "go home and have a piano recital party and invite all the people over that couldn't make it so I can perform for them. Then we can just eat treats and stuff." The piano recital party never ended up happening but I've heard "Firefly" played enough for all of us for the rest of eternity. :) Love you Cole

Paige and Bryce: Sneak Peak

Paige and Bryce are practically family so when they came in town from Washington for a few days, I was happy to take their pics on Paige's B-day! All the pics turned out darling and I can't think of a better b-day present.. than to have two cute men in the house. :)

Before & After

I've had lots of people ask me about my photography lately.. from how I edit my images to random camera questions.. I just thought I'd show a before and after image and explain how I edited it..

Here's the raw image from my camera - I used my Canon 5D and my 24-70 lens with the aperture at 2.8

This is the edited image.. I first slightly adjusted the curves in photoshop, then used the Totally Rad Actions: Technicolor Dream World (colored some off using layer masks) and Pro Retouch. I finished with a little unsharp mask filter in photoshop to sharpen things up a bit. This took me about 45 seconds total. I never spend more than a minute or two on each image.

What would it be like to be a teeny sized 2 blonde? Little Jessica was so darling and her waist made me want to be 18 again.. (p.s. I love shooting in Springville.. there are such fun spots and we always get the real, small town cat calls & whistles - it's sweeeeeet!)

We got the perfect day, the perfect light and the perfect couple. I can't wait to shoot this wedding.. these two are both totally photogenic and are up for anything.. :) Thanks guys!
