It's Official..

Looks like we are moving to St. George. Totally unexpected. We don't have much time. Aaron's being transferred to an office there. I'm really really sad. I love my house. I love my family. I love my neighbors. I love our schools. I love my yard. I love Provo. I've never moved from here. Aaron says it's for the best and we'll learn all sorts of things and make new friends. I'm still sad. Change is hard for me and so I'm trying the best I can to see the positive and look forward to a new adventure. I sure hope we'll have visitors. And.. if anyone out there wants the best house in Provo and the best yard and cul de sac - my house needs a great family to live in it. We'll see how this "adventure" works out. :)

You don't even know me, but somehow I found your blog months ago. I am a small-time children's photographer in St. George and my first reaction to this post was "uh oh I am in serious trouble." But then I thought, "Oh my gosh, maybe she'll start doing families again and then I can book her!!!" I am from Chicago and moved here about 4 years ago. It took me two years, but I absolutely love it now. Good luck!

How lucky for the people in St. George! I'm sure they are in need of such a talented photographer. Can't wait to see what you do with the scenery there! So what is your address? I'd be interested in your house. You can email me if you prefer=) fanofthesox@gmail.com

I'm so jealous!! I just moved from there up to Salt Lake last week and I wish I were back there! I LOVED it there! I didn't think I would like it as much as I did! Everyone told me, "once you come you'll never want to leave!" I thought ya right, but it's so true! I grew up in the SL area but I feel like St. George is my home. I hope you love it! If you need any tips about anything let me know! (jessicajreeves@gmail.com) In fact, our house is still for sale there and it's cute! It's a new Ivory home with 6 bedrooms, access to a private pool and right by the biggest and coolest park in St. George! Let me know if you want more info about our house or anything! Good luck!!

Oh Haley, I'm sad for you. Can your parents and sibs move with you? At least it's not Nebraska.

I'm so sad you have to leave your house and family, but selfishly I'm so excited you'll only be 2 hours away from me! You're timing is perfect, summer is over and our FABULOUS fall/winter/spring is about to arrive! Good bye snow, Hello palm trees! I will come up and help you unpack, Jordan and I can stay at Peg's house in St George and come help during the day!

To me thats the perfect spot to live! I will miss you, and maybe I can come stop by to see your twins before you go! Let me know.

Here's a plus: You will get to have an extended summer, unlike provo ;) it really is a fun place. It will be a grand adventure I'm sure!

Hi, I've never commented on here before but this post just called out to me! I recently moved to Key West (it's not St. George, but hey, it's an island life!) with my husband and our 3-year old daughter. It was one of the toughest things I've EVER done. Very few people understood, because all they think is, "cool! an island! fun!" And it IS fun. But it's really hard. There are moments of sheer loneliness and sadness and nostalgia for our old lives.

But many, many more happy memories have been made during the "good" times! It's been wonderful for our marriage and we've grown so much closer since we were on our own for the first time (no family, no old college friends surrounding us, etc). It challenged me as a parent and as an individual. And yes, we've met some great new friends and we've had some really fun times!

It's an adventure (good & bad) and it will truly make you grow as a person in SO many ways. Have fun and enjoy it!

This new makes me happy! I just moved from there 3 weeks ago and I bet I can send lots of business your way! We are now up in Farmington and loving that it is not 1000 degrees outside! :) So good luck with that! But seriously, if you have any questions about business in that area let me know! :)
