The Bride Diana

This beautiful bride is caffeine's cousin.. she was so lovely. I sometimes wonder why MY bridal portraits were so awful... was it the photographer? Was it my dress? Was it my updo? Was it the indoor session with the brown paint splotted background? I may never know. But Diana's bridals were a fun challenge for me.. being mostly indoors (not a fan of indoor shoots.) Back to Work...

So it's back to work time... Love it... Okay, maybe I don't love it. It was so nice to have a few days off and actually enjoy my family and BREATHE. Strange how the holidays FLY by, isn't it? Next thing you know, it's the gross, depressing inversion filled month of January. This is definitely the time of year to either keep busy doing something or fly away to ANY spot with a beach. We can't afford the beach option so I will choose the keeping busy option and fill my days with pictures. These are of a California babe named Lexi.. We did these pics in about 15 minutes (they were 45 minutes late) :) and they turned out darling. Fast and efficient, right? All of Lexi's pics can be seen at:

Courtney and Jeff

What can I say, these two are the kissiest couple I've ever met! I must admit, I was a bit jealous. I don't think Aaron and I have kissed that much since our dating years. Photographing weddings always makes me want to be a better and more kissier wife... Plus, their reception was uber romantic at the Coleman Studios in Provo. It snowed all during their reception and the place was mostly lit by candles. So sweet. Awwwww. Who wouldn't want to kiss in that atmosphere?

For Desperate Housewife Viewers...

So I am not a Desperate Housewife viewer but I know a look-a-like when I see one.. (my dad was David Hasselhoff's stand in on Baywatch. I'll post a picture at the bottom.) I was going through my pictures and these are from a shoot I did in the summer - If I'm not mistaken, this man looks VERY much like Housewife Hottie James Denton. I remember taking these shots and thinking, this man looks so familiar, but not familiar enough to say anything. It wasn't until a recent D.H. Ad that I realized where I had seen him before... Wisteria Lane.

The REASONS for the Season...

The mess, stomach aches, glue and smiles that Gingerbread Houses create.

How happy Bo and Taz are to receive all the leftover ham, turkey, stuffing, gingerbread house scraps and mashed potatoes.

Watching small hands discover the magical things that we discovered as kids

Spending much needed quality time with our FABULOUS families and friends

And of course, the greatest and most important reason for this season, is remembering the birth of our Savior and teaching our children about that special night long ago.

What an intelligent couple.. Really smart people. And a great family to boot. Her dress was to die for - loved it! Their wedding cake was unbelievable.. hundreds of little papers rolled up and stuck on... The family was busy on the drive from Seattle! Can you imagine the paper cuts from those? What a cozy place, Log Haven up Millcreek Canyon.

The Hair?

We just can't seem to tame that one piece of "comb over" hair on this chick.
